AI without the BS

No robot waffle. No 47 tools you'll forget by lunch. No workbook stuffed with 100 prompts you'll never use. And definitely no spending three hours learning how to ask ChatGPT to write a caption.

The actual problem

Everyone is using AI. Most of it looks the same.

You have had a poke around in ChatGPT. You have probably written a few captions with it, maybe an email, maybe a bio that did not sound like you at all. It saved you a bit of time and it also produced something you would never have written yourself, so you rewrote it, which is not exactly the time saving you were promised.

The problem is not that you need better prompts. It is that most people are using AI as a vending machine for average content instead of getting it to do the actual work that is clogging up their week. Quoting, onboarding, reporting, the same three emails you write every Monday, the process that only lives in your head. That is where the time is, and that is what we are doing on the day.

By lunchtime

You will have a working first version, not another list of things to try later.

You have already told me the job before you arrive. The workshop is about understanding the tools, setting up the workflow I have prepared with you, giving it the right information and making sure it actually does the bloody job.

01

Understood what the tools are actually good at

ChatGPT, Claude, Projects, Work, Skills and the bits worth knowing, explained in normal business language rather than tech speak.

02

Loaded your personalised workflow

I prepare the starting point from your pre-work. On the day, I show you how to set it up in your AI so it becomes something you can actually use.

03

Given it the information only your business knows

Your process, rules, templates, safe examples, files and the context it needs to stop guessing and start being useful.

04

Tried to break the bloody thing

Missing information, odd requests, wrong assumptions and the places AI gets a little too confident for its own good.

05

Made it useful and human

We refine it until the output works for your business, sounds like your business and keeps the decisions that need a human firmly with you.

06

Left knowing how to do it again

You will know how to use the workflow again next week and how to spot the next job that is worth getting off your plate.

Before you arrive

I am not meeting your annoying job for the first time at 9:30.

After you book, you will tell me the one job you want off your plate, how you do it now, where the time disappears and what a good result would look like.

I review it before the workshop and prepare your Get This Shit Off My Plate Job Map, plus the bones of your personalised AI workflow. So when we get to the hands-on part, we are not starting from a blank screen. We are starting with your business.

Prepared before the workshop

Your Get This Shit Off My Plate Job Map

The job, the outcome you actually want, how it works now, where AI may be useful, what needs to stay human and the first draft of the workflow we will build out together.

I do the thinking before you arrive. We do the building together on the day.

What you'll get

Three hours, one real task, something you can actually use afterwards.

This is part learning and part implementation. The first half is about understanding how to use AI better, what the different tools can do and how to stop your business sounding and looking like everybody else's AI. The second half is where we open your actual task and build.

Kat Crane running a workshop

3 practical hours with ChatGPT, Claude and current AI tools, minus the tech theatre and the 47-tool tour nobody asked for.

Your own personalised Job Map and first-draft AI workflow, prepared from the real task you send me before the workshop.

Hands-on help setting it up, feeding it the right context, testing it and refining it so you leave with a working first version rather than homework.

You will also learn how to talk to AI properly, make it ask you better questions, use it as a thinking partner, understand the difference between the main platforms and keep your judgement in the process.

How the morning runs

Learn it first. Then make the bloody thing work.

01

First, we make AI make sense

What ChatGPT does well. Where Claude can be useful. What Projects, Work and Skills actually mean. What is worth paying attention to and what is just another shiny thing you do not need.

02

Then we stop it sounding like everyone else

We talk context, voice, files, examples, asking better questions and using AI to think rather than just pump out average content. Yes, marketing examples will absolutely come up. That is my world. The method goes much further than marketing.

03

After coffee, we open your actual workflow

You have already sent me the job. I have already prepared the starting point. I show you how to load your personalised workflow into ChatGPT, then we add the process, rules, safe files and context it needs to do the job properly.

04

Then we try to break the bloody thing

We test it with the real-world messiness your business will throw at it, fix the gaps, make the output sound human and work out exactly where you still need to check, decide or step in.

The point is not to leave knowing more about AI. The point is to leave with something useful working in your business.

Who it's for

Small and medium businesses who know AI could be doing a lot more than it is now.

You have had a go with these tools and you can tell there is more in them than what you are getting. You want to use them better, on work that matters, and you would quite like to stop producing content that sounds like every other business in the feed.

Not for you if
  • You want a tour of 47 tools you will never open again.
  • You want AI to run your business so you never have to think about it.
  • You don't want to open the laptop and actually have a go. This is a working session, not a sit-back-and-watch presentation.
  • You are happy with the captions it writes. Genuinely, save your money.

Why Crane Creative

I run a real business too.

I am Kat Crane. I work with small and regional businesses across South Australia on social media, strategy and the practical digital stuff that tends to sit in the too-hard pile. I use these tools every day in my own business, which means I know where they help and I will tell you when something is a bad idea.

This is not a technology workshop dressed up as a business one. We start with what you are trying to achieve, what your customer needs and what actually moves your business forward, then we work out which part of that a tool can carry.

You don't need to use everything. You just need to use it on purpose.

Questions

The things people actually ask.

I am not technical. Will I keep up?

Yes. If you can use email and a web browser you can do everything we do on the day. There is no code, no jargon and no test at the end. If you get stuck, I come and sit next to you.

Do I really need a paid AI account?

If you want to get actual work done with AI, I recommend having at least one paid account.

Free accounts are completely fine for having a poke around, but they have tighter limits and some tools or features may not be available. The last thing I want is for you to finally get your workflow working and then be told to come back later because you have hit a limit.

You do not need to pay for both ChatGPT and Claude. One paid account is enough for the workshop. Paid is not a magic privacy switch either, so we will also look at the data and privacy settings you should check before you start putting business information into any AI tool.

Is this another Crane Creative social media workshop?

Not exactly, but social media and marketing are absolutely in the room. Part of the first half is about using AI without turning your copy, graphics and ideas into the same generic stuff everyone else is putting online.

The hands-on part goes much wider. Your job might be marketing, admin, quoting, onboarding, research, reporting, planning or a process that currently only exists in your head. This is the next evolution of the practical stuff I have always taught, just with a much bigger set of hands.

What if my business information is confidential?

We cover what is sensible to put into these tools and what is not, including customer data and anything commercially sensitive. Bring the job, and we will work out what version of it is safe to use.

Can I send someone from my team instead?

Absolutely, as long as they are the person who actually does the job we are trying to fix. Email me and I'll swap the name over.

What if I cannot make it on the day?

With 15 spots, a no-show is a wasted seat, so let me know as early as you can. Up to seven days before, I'll move you to the next date or refund you. Inside seven days you are welcome to send someone in your place.

Come with one job you're sick of doing

Leave with a much better idea of how to stop doing it the hard way.
